Sustainable Ocean Safe Seafood

Web Strategy for Sustainable Experience
Sustainable Ocean Safe

This strategy outlined a plan to enhance the online presence of Blue House Salmon by focusing on a more emotionally resonant message, authentic language, cohesive visuals, and an improved user experience. The goal was to connect with eco-conscious consumers and food enthusiasts, translating their mission into tangible value.

Messaging Strategy

The core message evolved from simply "farmed for a wild taste" to a more emotional, benefit-driven story. The primary focus was on the why—the positive impact of choosing this specific product. The new core message was "The future of flavor, responsibly grown." This combined the superior taste with the brand's mission of sustainable, land-based aquaculture. The unique selling proposition was that the land-based, closed-loop system provided a pristine, controlled environment, which resulted in a safer, cleaner, and more consistent product. This message was built upon three key pillars: pure taste, a planet-friendly approach, and a passion for raising the fish with care.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

“Working with Houseink Studio’s team was an incredible experience. They captured our brand’s mission perfectly, translating our commitment to sustainable, ocean-safe seafood into a website that is both beautiful and highly functional. The design feels fresh and modern, using a palette that evokes the tranquility of the ocean. They did an outstanding job of telling our story through a clean layout and stunning visuals, making it easy for our customers to understand what we’re all about. The result is a professional, trustworthy, and visually compelling site that we are incredibly proud of.

I can’t recommend them highly enough.”

Verbal Language

The brand's voice became a transparent and passionate narrative. This shift meant moving away from overly technical language and embracing a conversational tone that felt both authentic and inspiring. Instead of simply stating facts about the technology, the language told a story, using phrases like, "It all starts with a single egg, grown in pure, recirculating water right here on land." The copy also leveraged strong, active verbs and sensory words, with compelling, benefit-oriented calls-to-action, such as "Taste the Future" instead of a generic "Shop."

User Experience

The website's structure and design were intuitive and engaging, guiding the user from discovery to purchase. The site was built with a mobile-first design to ensure it was fully responsive and loaded quickly on all devices.

The homepage served as a narrative journey, introducing the mission, product, and people behind the brand. Navigation was simplified with core pages for Home, Our Story, Our Salmon, Recipes, and Shop. Content was easy to read and scan using clear headings and short paragraphs. Trust signals, such as certifications and customer testimonials, were prominently displayed. Product pages featured high-quality images and detailed descriptions, while the “Mission” page was a visual essay that told the full story through a mix of text, photos, and video.

By implementing these changes, the Blue House Salmon website was able to transform from an informational platform into a compelling brand experience that built trust and drove conversions.
