SEE IT BEFORE IT’S MADE

How do you see the film
before it’s made?

A storyboard takes the idea out of the abstract. It gives the team shots to review, question and refine before production makes changes expensive.

  1. Character reference portrait of an athlete in black wraparound sunglasses01 / DEFINE

    Define the story.

Agree who it’s for, what the product promises and what every scene must show.

  2. Storyboard workflow linking a character reference to three planned shots and the final stitched sequence02 / PLAN

    Map the shots.

Build the references, shot lists and storyboards for each scene.

  3. Film frame of the athlete above the ocean with floating stone cubes03 / PRODUCE

    Produce and refine.

Create each shot, then improve it with clear, agreed rounds of feedback.

  4. The same film cut into vertical, square and widescreen formats04 / DELIVER

    Deliver everywhere.

Cut final versions for web, social and ads in every format you need.

PRODUCT DESIGN ANSWERS

Before we begin.Your questions.

What does product design include?

At HOUSEINK Studio, product design covers how a product is planned, shown and launched: product strategy, storyboards, launch films, brand films, 3D product animation and creator-led explainer video. Each project is scoped around the product’s stage, its audience and the channels where people will first discover it.

What is the difference between a launch film and a brand film?

A launch film introduces a product at a specific moment, focusing on what it is, what it does and why it’s new. A brand film tells the longer story of why the product exists and who it’s made for. Many launches use both: a short hero film and a story-led piece.

Do you need the physical product to create product videos?

Not always. Many projects start from product photos, renders, CAD files or detailed references. Hands-on formats such as unboxing and creator-led demos usually need a product sample. We confirm what’s required during planning, based on the shots and formats agreed in the brief.

Can you create 3D product animation from CAD files?

Usually, yes. CAD files, 3D models or detailed product photos can be used to build exploded views and feature animations that show how a product is put together. The more accurate the source files, the more closely the animation matches the real product and its materials.

What video formats do you deliver?

Final films are cut for where they will be used: 16:9 for websites and YouTube, 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Stories, and 1:1 or 4:5 for social feeds and paid ads. Each project lists the formats, lengths and versions agreed in the brief, so every channel is covered.

How long does a product launch film take?

Turnaround times vary with each project. Timing depends on the number of scenes, the type of production, the source material available and the rounds of feedback. A timeline is agreed during planning, so you know when storyboards, first cuts and final files will arrive.

Can you update an existing product video?

Yes. Existing footage can be re-edited, resized for new channels, refreshed with new feature callouts or extended with new scenes. Updating what you already have is often a faster way to support a product update, a new market or a seasonal campaign without starting from scratch.
